No, they did not (literally or figuratively) vote on which books to keep or which to discard!

The Council of Nicea had nothing to do with what books were included or not included in the canon of Scripture. If you are going to claim this is a carefully researched paper it would help to actually do the research! The Council of Nicea is easily found in a simple Google search.
