Excellent! I think we’ve been heavily influenced by the evangelistic activities presented in the book of Acts not realizing the public proclamations were done by just a few—generally apostles (perhaps better called “missionaries”). Even then, much of their activities included compassionate care—and observed social and cultural context.

What we see written to average Christ-followers in the letters sound more like: “live at peace,” “do good,” “forgive”, and then—“if someone asks you, tell them … gently…”
